Miss Thunder Mountain Pro Rodeo 2010
Queen Mackenzie Conner
Come Cowboys and Cowgirls,
It’s time once again for the
Cowlitz County Fair and Pro Rodeo to begin…
Thunder Mountain Pro Rodeo that is!
Hi, I’m Mackenzie Conner, your 2010 Cowlitz County Fair and Thunder Mountain Pro Rodeo Queen.
I am a 2008 graduate of Mark Morris High School and currently attend Lower Columbia College.
I am the proud daughter of Jim and Kelly Conner of Longview, WA.
Since childhood I’ve dreamt of being my hometown’s rodeo queen and owning my own horse.
I would sit on the fence outside the grandstands just barely getting a glimpse of the rodeo action.
One year a roper squeezed me into the bleacher seats by the roping chutes,
so I could be closer to the queens waiting to push the steers.
I was hooked! I knew that someday I was going to be wearing those fancy chaps, too.
As you can see, my biggest dream came true!
As the ambassador of the Cowlitz County Fair and Rodeo, my horse Shasta
and I will be traveling all over the Pacific Northwest appearing at various parades
and rodeos. A few events I plan on attending are the Portland Grand Floral Parade,
St. Paul, Ellensburg, Salem, Long Beach, Elma, Vancouver, Pendleton and Kitsap rodeos.
In addition, I will attend the Woodland, Go Fourth, Castle Rock,
Battleground, and Loyalty Days parades respectively.
Join me the first weekend in August for some good ole rip-roarin’ rodeo action.
It’s the Cowlitz County Fair and Thunder Mountain Pro Rodeo
August 5th through August 8th….I’ll be there…won’t you?
